Where does my help come from?

PSALM 121

"I lift up my eyes to the mountains. Where does my help come from?"

Today, we have a mountain in front of us. Today, we have an invisible mountain called Covid-19. And yet, we don’t see it even if we are witnesses of its impacts. Our governments, our leaders have reached their limits to find sustainable solutions. Our experts have shown their limits in terms of predicting tomorrow. So, where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

Yes, we can proclaim now that our Father, our Lord is where our help comes from. Yes, we can proclaim our Father, our Lord is the Maker of heaven and earth. Yes, we can proclaim our Father, our Lord doesn’t just have a solution, He is the solution. Who can say what will happen tomorrow? Who can say when the storm will come to an end? And yet, our Father, our Lord He is the One who rescues us. So, can you proclaim it?

We are all living in an unprecedented situation. We are all going through different kind of issues.  We are all impacted personally, in our family, at school, at work. And yet, our Father doesn’t stop watching over us. Our Father doesn’t stop protecting us.

The Lord watches over you […] The Lord will keep you from all harm.

And now by faith, we can declare to this mountain ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea’ (Mark 11.23-25). I can’t say what tomorrow will be, but I believe my help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
